Lets see my regulator? In what vehicle?

Many of the corvette filter swaps that I see end up on the intake manifold and look funny like pictured below. That is on a Gen IV truck mani

Don't get your panties in such a twist 95. Just giving him options and suggestions, I even agree with you :) My vote is just an aftermarket one. Didn't know we were LS swapping on a budget. Although, I don't think LS swapping and budget mesh perfectly

1967 Corvette roadster, 427, 3.08 gears, sponsored by RBC. It did impressively well on road courses, surprising those who thought the "right" thing to do was running a 12-bolt 3.70.
That car weighed about 3100 LBs with a larger, torquier engine than an LT1.......

Since we’re talking about upgrades have any of you LS swapped? And are you still happy with your choice if you didnt? My LT1 got roughly 7 mpg this last tank full of gas. Just weighing my options i already have a lt1 block but a skip white rotating assembly for a 383 and thats like $1600, heads and cam another $1600, machine shop im sure wont be cheap so lets say $1000. My buddy who does ls swaps for a living can do a heads and cam 5.3 for $2000 with core or $2500 without and thats just engine but ill be saving money in alot of areas like not having to upgrade to coil packs and ls ecu. Thank you all im sorry for the loaded question
Once you account for the engine, now you gotta do wire harness, headers, front end assembly, engine mounts, and a number of other bits and pieces.

I'd do a stroker LT1 before I'd do a LS-swapped 5.3.....

Jus' sayin'....

Is there any sbc headers i can use just to get by cheaper? My stock manifolds leak, and the exhaust is leaking at the cat. Id like to fix all my exhaust leaks but dont have the coin to splurge on expensive exhausts and i dont want to hurt the engine i did not think about that

If you're willing to bend and / or hammer a few things, COATED AfterBurner headers.

I only found these 2, one is painted and the chrome set is ceramic coated… is there a particular part # or both should work? View attachment 210217
Although initially more expensive, the painted option will be a waste of money unless you don't mind buying new ones in a couple years. 'Splurge' and get the coated ones and you will have them for as long as you have the car.

So the #4254911501FLT is the set i should get? Im excited cause i can definitely do those and have a exhaust shop hook up the rest. Is there any tubular crossmembers i can get also?
does anyone make the block off plates for back of intake manifold where the EGR and the flexible pipe goes to delete them? Thank you all

Having owned 'high temp painted' steel, stainless steel and ceramic coated headers over the years, I would not buy anything but ceramic coated.

I said COATED.

These will not be a perfect bolt-on. There's a reason why Clear Image Headers cost so much more.
There will be bending and hammering.

NO. DO NOT BUY THOSE HEADERS! You want 100 not 150.

These are the correct Afterburner headers for these cars.

As you can see they are currently not available. Since Oct they kept pushing back the availability date and now it has stopped. Amazon has a pair for $1100. JEGS still lists an available ship date of the 22nd but that will not happen.

There is a thread about these headers, I basically installed the first sets and once had quite an extensive picture collection but that was 13 years ago and it's all gone. They don't require ANY bending, hammering, smashing, etc. Only problem area is at the A/C compressor lines but some VERY careful bending of the lines can take care of that. One install, I failed. Other install was a success. OK, so there is some bending but not on the header itself.

Just suck it up and buy from CIA because he can actually deliver a part that fits with ZERO problems.

Well , If I knew I was going to beat , bash , bend , possibly reroute , I would buy uncoated.
After getting them to fit , THEN I would get them coated.
But that's just me.
Well.....if I knew I was gonna have to beat, bend, bash the header to make it fit........I'd go out and buy a header that actually fit.

But that's just me. ;)
