So I did a search and lots of info out there. But I still want to complain. Sometimes in Park, when I depress the brake pedal I hear a loud click. I assume this is the park brake interlock solenoid, or whatever mechanism there is. My first two Roadmasters never made this noise, but this one does. And while I am complaining I should mention my knock sensor. I cannot get that thing off. This sucks!

Did you get down under the dash and check for anything that might interfere with the pedal as you depress it? There are two switches on the brake pedal. There are no relays for the brake lights in the car.


Does the click occur at any particular position of the pedal arc?


As for the knock sensor, squirt some WD40, CRC, or equivalent on it a few times, and let it cook. Then try it again.

Alot of the brake shifter switches wear out. My moms c10 was workin when we got it 7 years ago but now just throw it in gear without the brake. Ut should only click when u apply brake in park.
