Has anyone attempted taking a dual snorkel air cleaner off a 85-92 Camero and running a couple of tubes with scoops on the ends to get more cold air in? Seems like it would work.

Me and my friend were thinkin about doing that on his 1989 full size blazer with the TBI. 350 but in a way they already have cold air intake since the hose is supose to go all the way into the inside if the fender.

hey thats me. lol. yeah i customized that intake for my 91 9c1 L03. wasn't that hard. the original cast was bought through turbo city. it had one hole in the center and all i did was jb weld the center hole and then drill 2 new holes to line up with the studs from the tbi. then i took the original brace that is inside the oem air cleaner and put that inside the cast and put it on the tbi. you may come across problems with the air pump being in the way on the passenger side, i had it on with the air pump but then i just removed the air pump for better clearance and a cleaner look.

You know, shortly after purchasing the cadillac intake from a junk yard, I went to home depot and looked at the many different shapes and sizes of PVC pipe, with adjustable bends and such, and there were a lot of different ideas as to how to manipulate the pipes for a real cold air system, but as you can see by my sig, it has yet to happen.
