Mike Harris won the 5th annual ISSCA Nats at Gateway International Raceway this past Sunday.
He was proudly displaying the "Ellwein Engines" contingency stickers on his valve covers.
Thanks for doing that Mike.
And for the event win with those stickers on display he now has $500 credit to purchase anything from Ellwein Engine Components .
Maybe some USA made Howard's Sportsman I-beam Rods?
Maybe a Stef's oil pan.
How about a Billet Fabrication Oil pan?
Some nice Mahle pistons?

Anything you want there Mikey (for $500 bucks).

Good job on the win and congrats.

Excellent work there!

And Mike has AGAIN lowered the official ISSCA Naturally Aspirated 1/4 mile ET and MPH records!

Wow! I don't know what to say. I remember you saying that if I won with your stickers on the car I would be very surprised with the contigency: Well, I am very surprised and grateful. Thank you, thank you very much. My choice is a no brainer though: I want 1 of everything :D

Congrats Mike!

And a thanks to Ellwein Engines for the generous contingency! I hope that will start a trend, racing is an expensive hobby! I just ordered my third set of tires for racing this year, and we're only two months into the season! Send me some stickers for next year Karl.. ;)

Well, anyone with an Ellwein Engines sticker must win and win big. Terry I was rootin' for you...I think you owe me at least 1 beer for each loss.

Yea, even though Mike H. has not one part from EE on his engine he still proudly displayed the logo. ;) If you look at his 2006 results compared to 2007 you see that the Ai heads gave a few mph and a tick better ET for Mike. Good choice on the engine combo Mike.

I think he knew it was his year, (as many of us knew).

Well, that's not quite true. The engine does have the mark of an Ellwein in that it now has shaft mount rockers
They work too :D

I just think it's cool to have Mike carry the flag because he matches the company slogan to a tee "Finish Line First Engineering"

That thought, (finish line first), has always been stuck in my head from day one.

Hey Mike, if you need a suggestion on what to pick from (something I don't show on line) I have a new set of Probe SBC shaft rockers (1.6 ratio) that need a good home. They cost more than $500 but you can have them if you have another motor to put them on.

Fair enough. You sure that you wouldn't rather have some Apple Pie Moonshine? ;)

Terry we peer pressured Karl into trying some Apple Pie. He didn't spit it out so that's a good sign right? :D

Mike congrats. Nice runs.

Karl what was your complete evaluation of running your new blower car in some of the events?

Just a polite taste. That shine was as bad a chittlins, cinnimon apple or no cinnimon apple.

My final evaluation is that natural and nitrous cars rule and blower cars drool. There is no way to expect more than a mild blower car to keep a belt alive during so much "real street" abuse. Mark S. keeps his blower car alive only because he's good and because it's mild.

It's time for my road racing BBB to be fitted for an Ai/ERE-383 nitrous ready long block.

The All Natural ISSCA Champion for 2007 (Mike Harris) selected an LT1 Ellwein/Stef's oil pan (worth $400 bucks) and a set of ARP head bolts for his "winnings" from Ellwein Engines.

All are being shipped to him as we speak (type).

Sounds like Mike has a few projects under wraps. ;)

If I recall, Mike was also Super Fast in the R/R. At least I think that is who I saw blow across the Start/Finish at Mach2!
