Is there a way to test the CPS on my '96 SS?

The harness had been shorting and now I keep getting p0335 and p0336. (I think that's them from memory.)

Is that sensor really sensitive? Or might it have survived potentially weeks of all three wires rubbing the frame and/or header. But no fuses blew. At least that I know.

The sticky mentions the CPS, but has no info or links and a search didn't clear it up, so does anybody know? I don't have a FSM (I know, I know...), so maybe someone could look it up?

Thanks,

-KP

cps

I don't know about testing it , But when I was getting the same codes I replaced my CPS 2 times before I finally found out that it was the wiring a little ways from the plug in , replaced the plug and 8 inches of wire from stealership , never had the problem since ( 3 years ago). replace wiring and clear codes and see if it pops up again!
