The variable assist on the Roadie isn't working. Near the steering column there are two small wires broken that look as though they should be attached to it. Could this be the problem? The wires are too short to be spliced. What replacement part do I need?

Sounds like you need the swps (steering wheel postion sensor) Should be #26060653
