Hello,

Does anyone have a good source for diagnosing the original Delco/Bose system? I’d like to retain factory, and most of the information google is coming up with relates to the Corvette system with individual amps on each speaker.
At max volume i have faint audio from the speakers. I assume the amp has failed?

Any information pertaining to fixing this system would be appreciated.

In general terms the "radio" in your dash seems to be a "head unit" with a very small audio output.
If the head unit is sending out clean but low level audio you may have a wiring or amplifier problem.

I grabbed this information off the internet in a minute.

As has been suggested to you a factory service manual would have schematics, diagnostic tables and recommended tools.

Well that was entirely unhelpful and came off pretty dang snarky. (n)

Anyways, I plan on rebuilding the amp, I'll try to do a writeup with amp diagnostics, part numbers, etc. It doesnt seem to be found anywhere on the internet, so maybe it'll help someone in the future.
