GM had problems with solder for years, in fact ive had to go in my speedometer and climate control on a few vehicles. i found a guy in a 9c1 forum that has a good write up on how to fix the contacts in the digi-dash. its a quick fix and even if it doesnt work im sure your car is about due. just need a solder gun
