My question is on a 94 roadmaster if the airbags get disconnected!! Will it affect the Ecm? Will it not start? Does the ecm have to get reprogrammed????

When I disconnected my AB setup on the 95 Caprice, the worst it did was cause the AB light to come on. Unplug bulb in the cluster and that was it. :). No reprogram or anything else needed.

Thank you I could not fine info on that.... ok
NP - I removed my Passenger side bag while adding the Twilight Sentinel setup and also will remove the Steering Wheel bag when I go with an aftermarket wheel.

Some have used resistors to fake the system out and not cause the bulb to come on. But no point in faking out a system that you aren't going to use anyway? I also removed the AB Sensor/Module from the engine compartment as well. I left all the wiring in place if I ever need to run some other circuits, I could maybe take advantage of wires that were already there.

Heres some pics of the sensor that was removed and where the Passenger Side AB used to sit. Removing the Pass AB leaves a lot of room for other items like a Amp or other equipment.

This is the sensor that was removed from the Rad Support. The plug is back near the Driver Side Headlight.

4door do no if this stuff is part of the airbags?
Not sure what you have pictured there....almost looks like a ECM.

Back when I hit a deer and both airbags deployed in my '95 Caprice, I started looking for used replacement AB's and found a guy fairly close to me. He sold me both AB's and said the module should be replaced as well and sold me the kit along with the Rad Sensor and new Dashpad. This same guy currently has one for sale and here is a pic of this module. Looks different from what you have pictured.

It should say Airbag on it somewhere and typically they have a Yellow Connector or Yellow markings (indicating AB Circuit) somewhere. I forgot about this box but IIRC, on my car it was located somewhere under the dash near the Steering Column. I did not remove this when I removed all the other stuff, its still tucked up in there somewhere. ;)

While doing some other work, I decided to finally just disable the system primarilly due to how it destroyed my dash pad and these are harder to find now and it also busted my Windshield. I also plan to go with a different Steering Wheel at some point too. Plus, when the bags deployed it was a mess and it slammed my wrist so hard, I thought it broke my wrist.
