I need to do some front end work on my 96 Caprice (4.3L). Here are some questions:

1. I just replaced my outer tie rods. That was a pretty simple job. What are the torque specs for these?
2. How do I replace the center link? Does it just have bolts on both ends?
3. How do I replace the idler arm? Does it just have bolts on both ends?
4. How do I replace the upper ball joints? Do I need special tools for these or do they bolt on?
5. How do I replace front shocks? Do they come with springs on them or are they separate?

Torque specs for all above questions would help. Thanks in advance.

I think if you do a search in this section you will find your answers very quickly. These topics have been discussed numerous times.
Good luck with the work!!

Your best bet (so you dont have to reference the net and possibly print out instructions to this a future DIY work over the life of your car) is to pick yourself up a FSM (Factory Shop Manual) for your car, or the lesser (much lesser) off the shelf Haynes manual. These are both great tools and have saved my @ss (and $$$) numerous times in a crunch or when the net is not accessible (at the shop). Do a search on FSM or Haynes and you will find the best/better/good places to pick one or both of these up.
