Please only make (1) Introduction post. New Member Posts are Moderated and need to be approved. This is done as time and life permits.

If you don't see your Introduction post we simply have not gotten to it yet
to read and approve it, do not make another.

TimD new member 2/17/16

I have never been on a forum and not sure how to use one.
I have a 2005 Impala SS with some mods and am interested in more.
I live in Temecula CA so it has to be smog legal.
Do you have members & info on the W-body?
I'm getting ready to retire so I'm looking forward to performance upgrades.
Thanks, Tim

What if you waited several months and see many post approved after you, and you did exactly what it says to make an into post?
+1...except it hasn't been several months but it has been a couple weeks, but I've been waiting patiently to post, again just figuring it was what it said in the 'sticky', that the mods will get to it when they get to it.

I am so excited with my new '96 Caprice and finding this forum was just great but now I see 2 new members' post and still no sign of mine.

? What gives? Have I done something wrong?

I'm a bit curious myself. I will be picking up MY Impala this weekend and have lots of questions I'd like to ask.

(Also, when I say "MY Impala"... I mean it. I bought this car new in 12/96, it's and extended run SS, I sold it in 2004, found it again, and will be buying it back! I couldn't be more thrilled!)

Were you a WAIL'er back in the day?
Yes I was! I was one of the original WAIL members, I think. I BELIEVE the first get together we had was at Randy Stone's house. Grant Boss, Karl Ellwein, Ray Lopez, Louis P(I can never spell his last name, and I THINK he was there)... uh... I know I'm forgetting people. I'm getting old! Unbelievable group of awesome people.

I have now tried to make three intro posts because I see two or three made after mine that have been posted. I dont know why, but it will only allow me to post under this thread as well, and not in any of the other threads or topics. What is going on? I have questions!!! and some answers or comments that may help other members on this forum as well... Seriously!

I hope mine is approved. I have never once in my life tried to join a forum where an INTRO post needed approval. Seems ludicrous.
I think this thread was created cause a New Member (at the time) had a link to another site in their Signature that caused a little Agita. I do believe there is a restriction to post in the "For Sale" section until you have a minimum amount of posts....I think it's 25 Posts.

It looks like you have a few posts under your belt already and a belated "Welcome" to the Forum. For future reference, I think new members can post their own intro thread and don't need to use this specific thread to introduce themselves.

I think the last rule may have changed (paste and copy):

"New Member Introductions (5 Viewing)
New to the forum? You must introduce yourself here first."
I did but the post have not appeared, and this thread specifically warns not to post twice. Now I'm kind of violating it by replying? Or a reply is not same as post.. Does someone knows how long it may take? I see a couple of new memebers were asking Qs like that a while back and still have like 3 posts only.

This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
