i have a problme with a light on the dash that come on when i open the tail gate sidewayes when i try to close the tail gate the light on the dash says the tail gate still open when its closed and locked but i have to SLAM the door a couple of time really hard for that dam lght to go out ? do u guys have this problme ? its a 1994 chevy caprice wgon and on my 1995 roadmaster wagon same thng thank u leo

Sounds like you need to re-align the tailgate. You shouldn't have to SLAM the tailgate shut to get the light to go out. Get a FSM and it has the procedure on how to align the gate properly. It's a little time consuming to do but it's the only correct way to fix the problem. Good luck.
