Do you mean too much head or overheated it?

I just yanked my motor out this morning. 11.8 engine is too slow.
alum head 383 goin in tomorrow :)
cam is only a lil 227/235 w/ .565 lift on a 110.
Should be good for 10.90 w/ 4.56 gears @ 3130 race weight.
Is it possible?
What do ya think?

Oh yeah, gotta weld a roll bar in real quick before Sat.

BTW use a better Super Glue for the Roll Bar this time.
Be sure to paint it silver!

No super glue, just high strength exhaust pipe bent
to the proper dimensions!

I got the 50 lb injector fuel rail, opti, and alt ONLY setup
transferred to new motor. Just got to find the SFI flexlplate that
I cut the weight off of for neutral balance.
Motor drops in so nice with Wiper cowl cut out of engine bay.

BTW, the WEATHER is looking GREAT for Sat. Showers are comin'
in on Friday morning and GONE by Sat.

Nab told me 11am gate but it looks like a 10am gate...
