Anyone have these on there car? They are 70 bucks a peice from JEGS. Just wondering how they feel and handle. I need new shocks to go with my Hotchkis springs.....my old shocks are floating with the stock springs! Thanks!
I have them on my SS now.No leaks but the
front ones make a clicking noise in cold
weather. They replaced them but the new ones
do it to.It stops when they warm up but I
am going to replace them with HALs.The car
handles good with them.
The shock leaking was when it first came out, they have revised the shock now and it doesn't leak anymore. And if anything, they replace it for free of charge!
hi i have the edelbrocks on my 96 ss installed them about a yr ago when i installed them with a hotchkis extend upper and lower control arms hotchkis front and rear sway bars and eibach springs car handles like a corvette it feels planted to the road i love how the car feels all why riding on 20".
good luck with your choice paul.
hey brad, spend a little more for the bilsteins(1104/9029)..there great we put them on my dads 96 imp. at the end of last summer..and there great, car sticks to the road like glue(even more now ) by the way brad, are you gunna do sway bar(s)??? mike jr.
Actually, Bilsteins are less expensive. And my $.02...for a moderately priced shock, the Bilsteins are awesome, I can't say enough good things about them. I'm running Intrax springs and the car rides great with those shocks. With all the different suspension setups that guys on here have, the Bilsteins seem to be fantastic with all of them.
I just pulled off my AIS shocks and am replacing them with Bilstiens.
I would be getting the Hals but can't afford them just yet.
The AIS seemed to work fine but my whole front end was worn so I decided to replace them too.
They have 30k on them, no leaks, but they don't extend all the way out on their own anymore.
