·Its 3 bolts, after you pull the tranny. There are 6 bellhousing bolts and 1 for the dipstick tube. Pull your cats off, if you still have them
. Pull the driveline, 4 bolts. I just loosen the bracket under the AC compressor that holds the metal tranny lines, and that is enough room to get the TC out. I hate those lines, it seems everytime I have taken those off, they leak a little.
My father owns a mechanic shop, so I have pulled a few tranny's, GM or Mitsubishi 5-speed trucks being the easiest.
I did mine in about 2.5 hours, but I have yanked mine before, had the S-10 TC, and would have been quicker, but this time I had Quads, and H-pipe to deal with.
If you have never "stabbed" a TC, I would let some one do it that has. It can be a bit tricky sometimes. You have to spin it until it "clunks" and falls towards the tranny 3 times. The first time you do one, you will know what I am talking about.
It is not hard, but can be a little towards pushing your temper on getting the tranny lined back up, if you hve never done it before.
