Editing For ale posts

I can not edit my original post(s) in the For Sale section. I need to update for sold items, and to add new items without adding another post to the thread.

Sorry im late to the party.

The reason we have the "can't edit" is because this is a big company that creates a lot of traffic to sites. the traffic on the site has gone up since we took over, the problem is that with traffic and google hits comes scamers and jerks of the sort. If we allow people to edit things in the history you allow for the site to change.

The edit permissions is here to protect you as well as us. 60days is a lot of time, most of our forums have 30 day limit.

There are many reasons why we do it, and we have no problem editing something for you...

how does locking permissions on a fs thread protect us vs spammers?

if we catch a spammer they get banned.

that's fine but it was like that before we got here.. it has always been that way.
