i was under hood and i tore a wire that connects to the MAF sensor .and the cooling fans both came on the the car runs ruff.so i replace the wires then crank the car and the fans are still on and its running ruff. can anyone tell me what the problem is and how to fix it .

Just a thought, did you pull the pcm fuse in the underhood fusebox for a minute to clear the maf code you got that put you into SD?

thanks for responding man ive tried a few things but nothing has worked . whats the sd?

ive tried to reset the pcm but it stayed on by pulling the pcm fuse and disconnecting the battery

SD=speed density. Pretty much if the pcm detects a fault with the MAF, It throws a code and goes back to running the engine with the MAP sensor. Some codes unless cleared, can be redundant. If resetting the pcm dont help, you may have to check the wiring closer, perhaps its broke in another spot besides where you repaired it. Also, if the MAF wires grounded out when they got broke, the EMI fuse may be blown.

ok would that fuse under the hood or inside the dooe jam

Its in the underhood fusebox, the 15 amp fuse to the left of the pcm fuse.
