I was just wondering why I haven't heard of anyone doing this. Considering they are just metal bars... it seems like this would be pretty simple to pull off. I can't see myself paying $400 for a couple pieces of pipe.
They are not just metal bars, they spring rods. A metal bar would just bend when you articulated the suspension alot.
I'm not 100% sure on the manufacturing process of swaybars but I'm guessing that they are bent to the correct shape and then heat treated so that they will have a "memory" so that they will try to hold the correct shape even through suspension travel.
