So I am installing a sub into a box being built for the rear quarter panel. Most setup's I have seen put their amps/crossovers/etc.. in this area. What I am wondering is what is the recommended direction to point the sub for best sound volume and quality (for a sub)? TIA

choice

A)straight facing the other quarter panel.

B)slightly angled towards the front of the car

C)slightly angled towards the rear of the car

You don't want them firing directly at each other. They will cancel eachother out and give you weird harmonics. I have mine angled slightly upward and it sounds smooth. Check out my car domain page.

Nope that is a non issue. One sub only. Sorry I didnt put that in my first post. The other quarter panel will just have a box with nothing in it. It will be a storage area.

Edit: And for further clarification the sub is a Kicker Solobaric L7. Will only be getting 450 watts when it should be 600 but I am not worried about that for now. Thx again.
