Guys,

The Panasonic deck that was in my car when I bought it a few months back dosen't display the time and wasn't picking up stations from as far away as I like. Both were annoying on the morning commute. I talked to the dude at a stereo shop and he said that many times, for just radio signal, that a factory deck is the best bet.

So I went to the boneyard and picked up a factory deck and I now have a question.

The display on the factory deck doesn't work unless I have the lights on. You guys think it's in my wiring or in the deck I just got?

Thanks,
John

Have you tried a different source for your hot wire?

How many lines did you run to the fuse block (or wherever you draw power from)? If more than one - move one to a different source and test.

Hard to guess without a schematic.

I just unplugged the aftermarket deal and the factory harness plugged right back in to the OEM deck. I didn't run anything different.
