I used an old GM 3 plug switch to wire my KC's on my Dodge Ram recently. Amazingly handy. But I have never seen the advantage of moving the dimmer to the stalk from the floor.
One of the worst ideas to come along in the 70's and still is. Leave the left foot with nothing to do and give the left hand even more to do, usually in the dark, in a curve, with oncoming traffic also trying to dim their lights...
