Hello Members!

Since we created this website back in 2000, it has grown by leaps and bounds – and so has the amount of maintenance that is required to keep things running smoothly. As many of you are well aware, over the past year or so, I have not been able to devote as much time and attention as I used to towards system maintenance. In order to help return the site to a more efficient level, I have chosen to sell the Forum to a company called AutoGuide, which operates hundreds of automotive forums – they will take over the hosting and maintenance of the website. Because of all of the problems we were experiencing with my previous hosting company, the website has already been copied over to AutoGuide’s servers – this should help keep the website running smoothly.

Although AutoGuide is taking over the operational aspects of the website and you may see some changes appear as a result, the forum itself should not be greatly affected. I will still be involved with the website as much as time permits, and the existing moderator staff will still maintain their rights and roles in the forum. At some point in the near future, additional staff will be brought on board to provide extra assistance to the community. The vast majority of the forum’s existing rules and regulations will stay in place – the last thing we want to do is negatively impact your experience on this website. So please buckle up and have fun while we attempt to make this website even better!

Hi Jason, what old info are you talking about?
our old host decided one day to delete a mdf file to help save space on our server

:)

the newb typical level one fresh from geek squad, removed years of our data.

there were some backups but not to recent of that point in time.

so while the server was moved those backups should of been mounted..

thats whats he is asking.

no, and we might be charged membership.
Hi wolfie, I already answered this question for you in the other thread.

Likely there will be a membership program offered. This in no way will interfere with the access that you currently have on the site. If anything it will give you more PM, gallery space, stickers that sort of thing.

You got me a little premature on this question but myself and the mods will have to talk about this down the road and what they would like to see offered.

Ah, well I will have to talk to the tech guys here and se if it can be located. If we can then for sure we can bring it back. Its just a matter of locating it and seeing if its still compatible :D

Helena,

I am surprised that Scott has not discussed the old data with you. It is nine years worth of posts, ending with Rackforce's deletion of data in July 2009. Scott has located backups of that material from before he switched to the current bulletin board software. So, roughly 7 years of material to be added back.

This is INVALUABLE material, and would greatly increase the value of your investment. I can say with confidence that should you be successful in restoring that data, the membership would be inclined to welcome you (and your company) with open arms.

Good luck,
Jason.
