Dont get mad but Im thinking about stripping down an inexpensive car that is rear wheel drive with a v-8 to a frame then fabricating a rollcage and putting seats and needed doodads for it to be driven. I have an lt1 and t56 to throw on something but I figure if I find one of these with a working motor I could sell the motor and trans I have and make a few bucks. Anyone ever tried this is there a better frame to use than a caprice, im sure there is? This guy at the junk yard I went to had a frame with some support bars and a seat and a cage and an engine with a 3speed truck manual trans and made it into one of those dirt racing cars thats why I have this crazy idea in my head, supposedly where I live you dont need much to make it street legal either. Well any suggestions are appreciated!

This summer, Im going to strip down the ol coupe deville ive got out back. Im going to chop everything off off it but the firewall, some of the floor and the rad support. Then Im going to practice my welding skills building a cage around it, mount up some mudder tires and have a new dune buggy for zipping around the woods at my farm.

that's cool... i've always wanted to build some mad max/road warrior cars and get some desert land and tool around with my friends shooting harpoons and stuff at each other...

okay, well at least building some weird cars, anyway...
