I have new Moog upper and lower ball joints waiting to go in. I’m pretty sure I have a new center link I bought way back when. I haven’t done a close inspection of the idler arm but I do know I replaced it in the past with a Moog problem solver arm but not sure how many miles ago. With 214,000 miles on the car I’m thinking I probably need to pull the upper and lower A arms off and replace the bushings.

The car wanders a bit going down the road and turn in is very quick initially when making corrections. Shocks have low miles as well as bearings being serviced when I replaced all the front end brake parts.

Looking for thoughts and suggestions about the best way to bring the steering back to its former glory.

A lot of people over look at the lower column bearing and bushing located at the firewall/engine side. You might want to look at that as well, grab the lower column and move it around, if it has play then the you might want to replace that item as well since it’s a wear item. Originally GM only installed a plastic retainer.

Here is a Video so you can have a better understanding.
