Edited see last post on Nov 2, 2021 for car description. Price now $600.*

For sale, 1992 Chevy Caprice Wagon.
My wife's daily driver and kid hauler car the last ten years, very gently driven. We bought it from a forum member in 2006 with 90K miles --- it now has 121K miles.
Originally a southern car (Georgia per the license plates we found stuck in the seats), it has seen Chicago winters the last ten years.
$1800 OBO. Cash Only. No trades.
Located North Suburbs of Chicago (midway between Milwaukee and Chicago)
Hate to sell a car that drove our family for so many years... if nobody wants it then we may keep as a winter-only car.

Details: 1992
White with gray interior (cloth). 3rd row seat vinyl
Factory No Wood Wagon
5.7L 350 ci TBI L05 engine (stock), 121 K miles
Stock transmission (no issues at all)
3.23 Posi rear gears (factory)
Remote Start Kit (aftermarket)
Headlight Harness upgrade (brighter)

-Wheels from 1996 Caprice (alum), tires are 255/65-15 Pirelli Scorpion. Pretty worn, horrible in winter but stiff and awesome handlers in summer
-Suspension is stock with exception of rear sway bar installed (customized mount that wagons didn't get from factory), along with Airlift 1000 bags for heavy haul loads
-Interior is a 8/10. Very comfortable cloth with 60/40 front full power bench ** I'll add interior pics soon*
---= all windows work, had rollers replaced.
---= B-body billet door pulls, steering wheel knobs, radio knobs, coat hooks, cargo hooks
---= radio is a Caprice tape deck from an LT1 car, occasionally tapes play really slow. Some lights in radio don't work.
---=== power antenna died (down pos), so tough getting stations sometimes)
---= Fleetwood floor heat ducts added. Blows heat to middle row seat area. Laid on top of carpet, not under it.
---= Has lighted door markers in all four doors (one cracked badly rear door)
-Brake lines almost 100% replaced. Damn Rust.
---= ABS light occasionally comes on. Code shows ABS pump at fault
-Newish Radiator (~3 yrs??) -- car runs coooooool
-Air pump Delete (pulley in its place)
-Clutch fan delete
---= Dual electric fans with custom temp controller install
-Exhaust is about 3 years old, quiet but throaty on acceleration
---= SEO Y-Pipe (bigger diameter)
---= Cat Delete
---= Single 3" pipe into muffler
---= Muffler is Dynomax VT valved
---= Single 2.5" out (factory tail section)
-Engine runs well, stock everything
---= new distributor/newish wires,plugs
---= intake manifold resealed 6 years ago
---= new timing chain 6 years ago
---= caddy air bonnet with PVC/cone filter air intake (have factory box still if you want it)
-A/C works, but leaks badly (holds a charge for about a week) - converted to 134A
---= Heat blows hotter than Hades, though
-Body rated 5/10
---= Rust taking hold recently (cosmetically). I patched rear quarters and cleaned up a couple small spots. Undercarriage is surprisingly good.
---= Car was low speed t-boned 7-8 years ago and I replaced entire front clip (hood, bumper cover, fenders, radiator core support) That's when I painted entire car white instead of white/gray two tone.
---= rear windows tinted, rated 6/10.
---=== Full disclosure, front frame rail driver's side slightly tweaked causing some slight off body panel alignment. Car tracks straight and true down the road, however.

Please PM me questions and offers. I don't check the forum much, please be patient so I can get back with you in the evenings.

Whoa. Look who it is.

Not sure if you remember me. I used to know you about 10 years ago back in the BaD Bodies days when I was a teenager. I had a red Fleetwood.

I hope all is well with you. Do you still have your Fleetwood with the ghost flames?

Oh, and GLWS. :)

Here are pics of trouble spots. Tailgate is pretty solid. Very repairable.
Front end is new sheetmetal and has a couple surface spots probably from bad prep prior to paint.
Rear quarters are solid... especially passenger with the spare tire. Only minor surface rust. The rear driver quarter had a quick fiberglass patch done in cold weather and not so solid or pretty, but could easily be cleaned up with an afternoon's work.

Area between driver and passenger door in the jambs are diff story. Some rust through here that I never attempted to repair. Seems easy enough area to access, so I think repairable.
The front two door jambs are very very clean, which is a common trouble spot. No rust here.
