My question is why does he have 30 of them. I could see having one or two but 30? Its not like they grow on trees or anything. Also given they are truck engines I would venture to say the average mileage on the engines are 50K to 150K+ miles on them. If I were to get one(which I'm not as its more work that I want to do to try to put it in the Caprice) I would go for one of the newer ones as they would have less miles on them. - Peter

The newer ones have almost 100 additional HP too.
Every couple years they kept juicing the HP levels up on them.
I know our 99 Silverado was a gutless pig at low RPM, then the 2000's got a ton of low end grunt added to them.
They went from like 265HP to around 350HP over the years.
Nothing a 100 extra HP can't do! :)
