Ok, I’m about ready to throw in new springs & shocks on my 9C1. I’ve searched & read, but I just want to clarify a few things. Your input (reassurance) would be appreciated before I start cutting. :D

My goal is to drop my car 1” lower than stock SS height with no ‘raked look’ & improve its handling a bit.

Parts list:
Global West Front Springs (Purchased)
Moog CC627 rear cargo coils (about to order)
1104 & 0929 Bilsteins (purchased)
Z8Q bump-stops (purchased)

True or False?
</font>
  • Global West Front Springs = Stock SS height</font>
  • Global West Front Springs – 1/4 to 1/3 coil cut = 1” drop from Stock SS height</font>
  • Moog CC627 rear cargo coil = 1" drop from Stock SS height</font>
  • Cut 'round' bottom end of spring (left) not 'flat' top end of spring (right)</font>
  • Cut FRONT springs only. NEVER cut rear springs!</font>

Does all of this sound right to the experts? :confused:

Thanks,
Martin

I see one problem with your information.....you say that you are going to "improve its handling a bit". I think it would more accurate to say you are going to improve the handling a lot! :D

GW springs were $174.95 shipped.
I'm pretty close to LA, so shipping wasn't that much & they got here fast!
