I second the Whale. Keep the corners. Hoodline and fender velours looks sweet.

Loose the wire wheels and use a fat dark 5-spoke wheel. (safe but 'so not safe')

i appreciate all critisism...but let me enlighten you on the plan for the car...

The idea and master plan behind the wagon is retro...

to have the feel of a 1950's Cadillac, buick, olds, or chevy high end wagon...nice paint and smooth lines...just like the nice beach cruisers of the day...there will also be a wood slat roof rack with a classic coke cooler, a couple surf boards (long boards), and an umbrella...the kind of wagon you would take you family or your pals to the beach in...hope that helps

I liked the spokes. I don't know how retro BMW headlights are though.

It's a minor point. Curious though. Would the headlight assembly being sold by another member that incorporates similiar lights be a cheaper alternative and still allow the corner lights?

Timmy,

If retro is the name of the game you MUST keep the wire wheels. Also, if you are willing to stay with the "take you family or your pals to the beach" theme - you MUST go the wood route.

Don't hate the decision, go with it. Flame the wood, or let it drip wood . . do something else with it.

Sorry Timmy but when you mention the words 'beach' and 'family', there really should be some wood involved.

My 2cents and thanks for sharing your vision to us. Above all, it's your vision and will be your reality.

i am interested in other lighting if it is offered...as long as it has the sae look as the BMW lighting...

as far as the wood route...I currently own a 1949 Chevy Styleline wagon with no wood...one of 2664 made...wood is awesome...but done in my opinion...just my thought...

i do really appreciate the thoughts though guys...keep em coming

Not sure what 'sae' lighting means but if you want some angel eyes or halos then this might be your joint :

Just another option in the event you are not completely stuck on BMW E36 lighting.

Search the vendor section and you WILL see the light.

The Kelsey wires make the car. WOW!!!! The Crown Vic trim doesn`t do nothing for me. Maybe bring it down in the middle of both doors. Otherwise......it`s a beutifull thing.

There's a GP going on right now in the Vendor Section. The deadline is the 15th of this month. So come on and order them up!! :D
I'm getting the basic kit with chrome shroud/bezel. If you read the entire thread about the headlights, Mike has mentioned that he will probably make a 1 piece headlight/corner light option later on. So that would allow you to leave the corner lights in there. Just another option.
btw, I like your concept. It's cool to be different even in the wagon world! :D
