I just installed that pump. Modified a new sending unit to mount it in tank.

Building my new fuel rails with a new pressure regulator right now.

Need to switch the stock sized AN lines the engine installer put in with Teflon lined, over sized lines.

Sizing this stuff takes a bit of a mathematician.

Good Reading:

Any pics of the modded fuel set up?

Yes, BAP = Boost-A-Pump, sold by Kenne Bell. Acts like a voltage regulator & amplifier, it's a really cool product.

8 AWG from the battery to the BAP, 10 AWG from the BAP to the pump.
Should be bad Ass when done. Make sure you take lots of pics always like seeing ideas come to life.

It isn't complicated really, I already have a modified sending unit because that 280 lph pump is much bigger than the OEM.

I cut the bottom part of the plastic basket and cut it open top to bottom. This allows the larger pump to slide in. I then installed two stainless steel hose clamps over the plastic basket to hold the pump in place and replaced the plastic hose with a rubber one. Wire it up and you're good to go.

Can you get a shot of and detail what you did to get the larger wires thru the top of the sending unit to the pump?

Nothing fancy... drilled a hole, used a grommet and scelled it with black RTV.
Looks like crap but you cant see it and it works :D

time for an update!

Car runs good, went to the track today and ran 10.67 @ 132.4 mph. 60' time is crap 'cause I couldn't hook (slicks are completely worn out) and I'm running out of gear at the big end.

I'll order a set of 28" slicks to replace the worn out 26" and I think it should be a bit quicker. :)

Well, I have good and bad news. Good news is the stiff walls slick are pretty awesome. Great traction even at over 20 psi pressure and the car feels more stable at high speed.

Bad news, the cast factory pinion yoke didn't like that 3500 rpm, 10 psi transbrake launch. :(

Well, as I'm sure many others here are doing, I've enjoyed following your build posts. And as I'm sure many others would say, but haven't yet, ..... If you're not breaking things (or relighting sometimes) you're not trying hard enough!

Good job!

Time to go 1350. Moser offers one. I just switched when a I had a new driveshaft made for the conversion to a T400.

Congrats on the 9 second slip. Car has a lot left in it.
not sure about the "a lot" part but yeah, I might be able to get it to go a little faster before I take the powertrain out of it.

We'll see next spring :)
