Headlight Issue

I just purchased my first Impala SS. It's a 95, amd I love it. But it doesn't seem to have very bright headlights. I have cleaned and polished the lenses already. I know it's a dual light system, yet the inside bulbs aren't very bright at all. Less than half of the outside ones, which seem pretty bright. Are they suppose to be on equal brightness with their mates? This forum always is friendly and helpful, so I'm asking here. Thanks!

your car is not a dual light system. BUlb has two filaments; one for low and one for highs, and they're never on at the same time. 9004, h4, and most other halogen bulbs suck for output :) Throw some fog lights to compensate, throw HIDs in the stock housings, or look into streetlights.
