Hi Everyone,
I am new to posting, but have been cruising the site for info for about a year now. I have owned a '95 ImpalaSS for about a year and a half. I was hit as I was going through an intersection and insurance totaled it. I have bought him back and I'm currently starting the long journey of getting him back together. It'll be nice to meet everyone and also ask for advice as I try and pee up this proverbial rope.

welcome. Whereabouts are you located? I would start a thread in the Complete Car Builds section to keep updates about your progress. I have one for each of my two cars and It's been helpful to keep track of my progress.

Welcome, and sorry to hear about the wreck...
Post some pics when you can so we can see what you're working with.

Thanks for the welcome! I live in Boise, ID, been here forever. I'll start up a post and get pictures of it up. It's going to be a pretty big project and won't move extremely fast either.

Jack, you are 100% right. Now it's going to be a salvaged title and I can make some fun changes. This car has 130,xxx miles, very much stock, and I was having trouble with the thought of changing too much. That red Rav4 made my decision a lot easier. :ROFLMAO:

(If the Rav4 has the 2GR-FE V6, either leave it OE, or upgrade the tires brakes steering and suspension in that order.)
(If not, upgrade the tires brakes steering and suspension in that order anyway.

As for 'having trouble with thoughts of changing too much' about your Impala SS ...
ISSF has 22 years experience maintaining upgrading and modifying Caprices RoadMasters Fleetwoods and LT1 engines.
We can help you stretch your definition of OE so that you can enjoy your Impala SS even more, for even longer.

Just as an example:
3.42 or 3.73 & a torque sensing limited slip differential
2.25" or 2.50" in in&out mufflers and tailpipes
pcm reprogram for better performance and transmission longevity
and, eh, tires brakes steering and suspension (and frame, if you want to hand it down to the next generation)
