I found a wrecked '96 SS in a yard a couple hours from my home. It happens to have Herb Adams sway bars installed both front and rear. The front bar has the 'tie rod' type of connection to the lower control arm. I am to take the bars off myself (possibly tomorrow morning) so the yard guys don't torch the end links off.

How much money should I consider a good deal for purchasing these sway bars? If I'm not mistaken, they don't make these anymore...and they happen to be complete with all the mounting hardware.

Thank for any help.

Nice find!

The HA (or clone HO) rear bar is about $200. The HA tierod front bar is about $350, AND you have to deal with Matt Adams (not a good thing!) to get it.

I'd say anything under $200 and you're getting a good deal....

That is a good find! If it were my stingy self, I would low ball them. Do they know they are after market sway bars? Stockers could sell for about $30-50.
