Hidden antenna

I shaved the antenna hole on my 91 Caprice. It looks really clean there now. Only proble is that the reception sucks now. I have been told that there are different antennas that can be hidden that will pick up stations better. Does anybody have any suggestions on where I can go to find something like this?

on a couple of my vehicles that were shaved I took a length of ant. cable stripped back the insulation and outer sheild and screwed the center conductor to the firewall and found this works very and is much cheaper than a magcat or other rod style ant. depending on how freindly you are with your car audio dealer the ants. for shaved cars retail for between $39 and $59 but dealer cost is about $20 depending on brand and are available from Metra Hirschman and a few other manafactures

prossound,
So basically, you made the firewall into an antenna? Interesting idea that makes other ideas pop into my head. I wonder how hard it would be to make the hood into an antenna like this? Any suggestions?

ThankSS!!

While not exactly what you're looking for... I have thought about recessing the antennae on my wagon. I would probably move it to the rearmost piller. An old-tyme "kustomizer's" trick.
