Hood release cable???????

Do all b body hood release cable assembly the same and interchangeable with 1 and other??? Like say will a 96 impala ss assembly fit a 96 cadillac fleetwood ???

No idea, but mine broke last year 1995 Caprice wagon and I got one on RockAuto. See if it's the same part number for caddy

If the hood is interchangeable the cable is the same. The RMS and FW are different from each other, and different from the rest.
FW is the longest
RMS is shorter
All the rest are shortest

Hoods definitely don't swap out but it's more so that I need the cable to inside release lever

If you need one for a FW, you will have to get one from a FW, or have one made. Maybe a motorcycle shop could make one for you. If they can only make the cable part, you can use a model airplane wheel collar for the latch end.

Ok I see I was hoping they work. Mines broke off the release handle bar

Take your cable to a custom motorcycle shop and see if they can make a slightly longer cable with the handle end. You can thread it through the sheath and put the axle collar on the latch end.

Help me understand why it doesn't fit the Caddy, whenever it states "Commercial Chassis" model. LOL.

I thought the Commercial Chassis is the same front end as the Fleetwood? LOL.

94-96 would be exactly the same in this case no matter what.

Seems like this is one of those "it might fight" situations. Possibly leaning more toward it working -- with some tweaks. The front ends aren't that much different in length between B/D core support and firewall. I suspect just slight routing differences. Likely possible with non-stock routing to gain an inch (if there is any issue). Maybe worth a try.

PS: this website says 2120mm length. If one trusts the internet.

Measure yours once you remove it. If yours is shorter, you should be good. If yours is longer (by more than an inch or so), you may have fitment problems without a fight.
