Is there a trick to installing the upper bump stops into the arms? I just can't seem to force them in. Any advice?

Thanks in advance,

Jeff,

Those triangular bump stops in the Hotchkis kit are for the rear suspension, not the front. If I am misunderstanding your question, and you are using the stock rubber upper bump stops, you need to put a little lubrication on them to get them to slip in to the slot on the arm(s).

The bolt-in round bump stops go in the front lower control arms. There is no real reason for a different (non-stock) upper control arm bump stop--for lowering springs.

A GM alternative front lower bump stop is 15989674, a urethane foam item used on the S10 ZQ8 suspension package.

If you want new polyurethane bump stops for the front, get Energy Suspension:

upper 3-9102--P/N is for 2 pieces, like stock

lower 9-9150--2 pieces, look just like stock

You are correct looks like I was trying to put them where they don't go. Good thing I didn't pull out the dremel tool!

Thanks Bill, as always, good info!
