Read some posts about uppers needing to have spherical bushings due to binding issues. Seems like the lowers wouldn't have as much of an issue. What are everyone's thoughts about this? For my purposes this would be for daily driving. I won't be racing or autocrossing. I installed a sway bar on the factory LCAs temporarily but I want to get a better LCA on there. I was thinking of going with UMIs LCA which is a very good price but doesn't have sphericals.

Spericals aren't "necessary" in any location. Bind isn't an issue until you start removing the compliance that is provided by the factory arms (flexable) and bushings (soft).

All of the aftermarket arms (BMR, UMI, Hotchkis,... etc) are a HUGE improvement over stock... without sphericals. And as long as you keep a factory rubber in the diff housing mounts you shouldn't have any problems.

If you want to limit compliance (flex and squish) but not limit range of motion... the spherical is the ticket. And the Rustic arms will be the cat's meow :D ;)

Yep, I know about your LCAs. :D Meow Meow Meow. :D Just wondering if I can live with a less expensive alternative but I know you offer a top quality item.

I think you can... I've been running on BMR's for 3 years (road racing the hell out of them)... and I really have no complaints (for the price) beyond the limitations that we have already discussed.

Thanks again Chris, I appreciate your honest and unbiased advice. BTW I just received the Vogtlands from you and I am getting ready to install them. I have Airlift helper bags on rear of my wagon and will have to change bags to fit the new springs. Would you happen to know which bags are recommended to fit? If not what dimensions will I need to know to talk to Airlift about getting the right bag?
