Be prepared to spend $20K plus or have it break all the time. It'll probably still break if you do it right but hopefully less.

huge fuel system

800RWHP all day long on pump gas with good drivability
power is so easy to come by

getting it thru the drive line and not breaking something
and putting it down to the ground
is a whole other story

Google Dale Basemann's turbo impala ss. Superchevy magazine has some info on it.
He makes over 800fwhp with a single turbo 383.
Check it out just to see wut u r gettin urself into.

I'm the newbie that started that tread if it's a problem let me know because I tought we were suppose to help each other out o and I asked a question in that tread I never said I wanted to go fast for penny's stop being a negitive people I have $18-20k to spend

Like others have mentioned, what are you starting with. 18-20k won't even get you there if you have to build the rear end and tranny. Let alone the suspension work to make it all work. Then there is the fuel system, cooling, exhaust etc..

It can go on and on. It's a lot more then just building a 800hp motor. It's a whole package deal. Basically you are building a new car when you get into these power levels.
