Well if you know the alignment was perfect before and you set the height of the end of the idler at the exact height the old one was, in theory, no.
But the fact is the toe will usually end up out.
So if you are really cheap at least get the toe set.
Also when you mount the arm, use the slop in the frame mounting holes to make sure the center link sits level in the car.
