ImpalexSS goes 9.76 @ 142mph On New Swap

Took the LS swapped turbo setup down to cecil and decided to run it on race gas tune. Off the trailer the car went [email protected] Have some suspension issues to take care of as the car is doing a double launch wheelie and on that tune should go 9.5's easy. Looking forward to turn it up around cold drag day in hopes to net 9.20's. Just a piston/rod ls with everything else stock.

Question, I'm probably wrong, but didn't you guys "only" dyno at around 650 RWHP? Am I nuts or is that incredibly impressive for such a huge car to hook and run that fast on that power?

Thats y i dont chase dyno numbers. They mean nothing. Just a tool to make sure were improving the tune. Use to take me 700rwhp with the lt1 to hit 9.9

I just finished reading your build thread impressive . Better watch out or Philly will be on next seasons street outlaws . These Lsx engines are really showing that they have a very great upside if you can afford the swap . I might have to look into putting a LS in big mama ( my wagon ). I think she would look good running a LS .

Thanks Pat. I have to get the launch figured out. Its costing me et. If u watch again, the car actually launches, then stops, then takes off again. If i can get that scared away i imagine 9.50's on that tune.

Dayum! That's a mighty stout Six Oh there! The 142MPH trap speed suggests a lot lower ET if you can sort out the suspension, and if you figure that out, would you please let me know?

I love the holley dominator efi. Best money i ever spent. So glad i didnt go micro squirt or stock pcm. We will get suspension straightened out as we left the limiters out and just a few changes on the shock settings to be made. We plan to get the car to just go forward and not pull wheels up at all. thanks glen. Ill kee ya guys informed.
