Hey gang. The Indy drag racing event came into a windfall, (that is a good thing that just blew our way). In order to make the Wednesday IRP track rental more affordable and efficient, the drag racing will be held in the morning, before Autocross. (Autocross is also at IRP later in the afternoon).

So I think the gate opens at 8am. Be there or be a ricer, (as they say).

Traditional schedule,

Arrive, (8am)
Tech ASAP
Heads up qualifying soon after tech, (hope to have 3 rounds of that).
Bracket racing lane for practice runs.

Later in the morning:
Top 8 qualifiers of Super Pro and Super Natural will duke it out for fun and glory.

All cars can bracket race for more fun and glory.

If you are eliminated early in the event, then head directly to the open run lane for more chances to pair up for grudge runs or fun runs.

See ya all Wednesday July 5th, in the cool of the morning.

I like it. Early to bed and early to rise, (Right Mikey Casino?)

And did anyone realize that my car, "The Heavy Eliminator Junior", (Junior for short), will be running on nitrous? Yes. I hope to be #2 qualifier in Super Pro and meet the Combination Motorsports low 9 second pig in the finals, (while I run low 10's). Yes that's the current plan. Have to contend with all the other good looking and fast Super Pro cars though and that should be fun.

Karl, does this mean a 16 car field of both SN and SP competing against one another?

Good question Glen. I forget that many have not attended a "Nats" and might have the same questions.

Good, although it would be fun, I'm sure that the top 3 SP guys would have given us SN guys a run for the uhm, er, fun.

BTW, given the schedule flip, this should be one of the better attended drag races. There's no reason to leave the strip early and those that don't usually go will have a reason to be there and can finally watch some of the straight track action.

Ummmm, you mean you will be #2 behind the Black Bat
which will be in the 9s w/ my new triple stage nitrous set-up.
Going through the traps, it will be pouring on more
than 350 HP worth of the juice!
That is on top of the 500 HP I have on motor alone.
I figure thats enough.

BTW, I will be bracket racing the 500 HP NA motor too!

Exactly.

P.S. Hey Karl can I sleep in Junior on Tuesday night? That way I can be sure that I will make it too IRP on time. :D
