I'll be doing the same thing and best I can figure it will cost $45 for a day pass and I have no clue as to where to buy it once there. Guess I'll just wing it and show up and hope I don't get turned away

If I understand things correctly, spectating is free at any event during teh Nat's. I went to the car show today and didn't pay anything to get in.
I think that if you guys just show up at the main entrance to I.R.P. you can just drive in and watch. I think you only have to pay if you actually compete.
