Don L has been doing a lot of behind the scenes work and has been firming up the schedule. Nothing 'official' but this is about as close to a solid schedule we can get until we lock in the deposits.

from Don...

There is no event quite like the Woodward Dream Cruise. Driving your Impala down Woodward Avenue with nearly 30,000 muscle cars, street rods, and customs is a once in a lifetime thing. Add in Autocross, Road Racing, Drag Racing, a Car Show, and a Stereo Sound-off and some may call that crazy. We call it the ISSCA Nationals!

2012 Pretty Darn Firm Schedule:

Tuesday, August 14th: Check in and registration

Wednesday, August 15th: Car Show at Metro Beach 9am-3pm

Thursday, August 16th: Road Racing at Waterford Hills Raceway 10am-5pm

Friday, August 17th: Autocross and Drag Racing at Milan Dragway 10am-10pm

Saturday, August 18th: The one and only legendary Woodward Dream Cruise plus ISSCA Awards Ceremony

We are still working on the host hotel. We are leaning towards the same hotel as last year but they are trying to charge us $50 MORE per room per night. Their logic: We checked and last year we were sold out that week. LOL. Yeah you were sold out because WE BOOKED UP YOUR HOTEL! :D We will attempt to fight computer stats with logic, wish us luck with upper management at the Marriott. Anyone have a family member who works for Marriott in management?

Let's get the party started!

Step 1: Rejoin ISSCA. Every membership runs out 12/31 so we all have to renew. Please go to www.issca.org and re-up.

Step 2: Register for 2012 Nats. We will open up online registration shortly after the New Year.

Thanks,
Bill

What night is the strip club tour?
How about a 8 mile tour on thursday night around 11:00 pm? You don't know a city unless you go right to the core of it?
Bring your Passport (not the radar detector) and visit the Windsor Ballet. :D

Yes, MISSL will have parking available in Pontiac. As you can imagine finding parking for 80-100 cars is a challenge. In past years parking spots in Royal Oak start at $100 a spot. For your money you get a parking space and a chair. No room for a tent, grill, etc.

Just got off the phone with the Fairfield Inn. They are NOT honoring any kind of "extended stay" discount. AAA got me $89 a night until Friday and Sat. changes to $99.

IMHO, the parking location last year was great. The Woodward Ave. monument, easy in and out and plenty of room.

his was the info I received. Caution: The pricing info is INCORRECT.

When the information was posted it was correct. What was unexpected was how quickly rooms are booking. I didn't think to ask if the rate would change as the hotel filled up. Even at $99 a night the hotel is still competitive.

The up side is there are half a dozen hotels on the same street less than 1/4 from the host hotel. Details will be posted soon.
