Ditto!I wanted to go to Nats SO BAD this year and just couldn't make it. I've been hoping all along that they would hold it in Detroit again next year so this is just AWESOME. I will be there.
Hi,
Someone stole Jimmy Middleton's Vette last night from his home. This is the second time a friend of mine in the last month this has happened, horrible! You know we need to treat these people as they did in the old west when one stole a horse.
I just talked to him and his car has been found withour major damage. This is great news!
It is about selling the engine first for cash even out of state, I have learned, that no where is safe. We have had this happen to policyholders in Elmore county and Prattville, too, that I know about. Onewas located at a remote home in the country. The cars having LS1 engines and newer engines are stolen and the engines are sold for cash. The engine is the first to go. The cars are stolen with a roll back hauler, many times.
I also had a friend stopped over for one night at the Drury Inn by SAMS and they slide his low 10 second Grand National on to a rollback tow truck between 1:00 and 5:00 AM. I was a 10 year project, super fast and a show car. Never recovered.
A whole rig truck........ .trailer and race/show Grand National was stolen in Bowling Green in Oct at the Buick Nationals. They have preyed on other events in BG and the police and city are making some effort . They host a lot of events and it is bad for their city. Only the car was recovered weeks later, but still togerther. This was a well planed thief, knowing the last day of the event the motels would be full of entire rigs waiting to go home on Sunday morning.
Please be carefull. It is a shame we cannot enjoy aour cars as they were ment to driven. Law enforcement can only do so much and we have some great people working in the river region, but it still happens. These are the times we are living and I wonder the future. We are going to have to go to great measures to prevent this from happening to our cars.
