ISSCA 2013 Nats - Registration is NOW OPEN!!

Greetings Fellow ISSCA Members,

We hope all is well and everyone is off to a great start in 2013, because ISSCA is! We are sending you this note to let you know that the 2013 ISSCA Nationals registration will be opening very soon. We hope you are planning to join us this year, and we think after you read this you’ll agree the 2013 ISSCA Nationals is a “can’t miss” event. The 2012 ISSCA Nationals was incredibly successful and the two year run in the Motor City under the guidance of MISSL (highlighted by the Woodward Dream Cruise) drew rave reviews. The kind comments were much appreciated and we are hoping to up the ante in 2013 with an even bigger and better event! ISSCA has been doing a lot of work behind the scenes and now it’s time for us to announce the location and itinerary for this years blockbuster event!

CarISSMA has been working feverishly to plan an event for the ages. I know what you are saying, how is that possible after the show MISSL and ISSCA put on at Nationals in 2011 and 2012? How is that possible after some of the great ISSCA Nationals in Tulsa 2003, Vegas 2004, Pocono’s 2005, Indy 2006, St. Louis 2007 and 2008, and the joint ISSCA-ImpalaFest event in Dallas in 2009? Well, amazingly, we think we’ve outdone ourselves and we are hoping you will agree.

ISSCA and CarISSMA will be hosting the event for 2013 in the heart of NASCAR country in Concord, NC and we think it will be the best Nationals yet. The dates to block off are Tuesday August 6th through Saturday August 10th, 2013 so start making your plans to attend now. When you think about it it’s a perfect place to hold the Nationals. Not only is this the home of NASCAR - "Where Racing Lives” - but the facilities themselves are world class. The zMAX Dragway is called the Bellagio of drag strips and it is part of this little track you may have heard of - Charlotte Motor Speedway. The world famous CMS isn’t just famous for the good old boys trading paint, it’s also one of the best motorsports facilities in the whole world. We will be able to drag race, autocross, and road race in the same complex just a stones throw from the host hotels.

The Road Racing event will be held in the infield of the world famous Charlotte Motor Speedway. CMS is considered the home track of NASCAR and is the site of many NASCAR races including the Coca-Cola 600 and the Sprint All-Star Race. The Richard Petty Driving Experience, and many other driving schools use CMS, and the movies Days of Thunder, and Talledaga Nights where filmed there. The autocross event is being held on the east side of the zMAX Dragway with a great open area layout planned for the racers. Immediate following the autocross will be the drag racing at the zMAX Dragway aka the "Bellagio of Drag Strips." The car show and David Fornwalt Memorial Sound Off location will be just north of Charlotte Motor Speedway at Backing Up Classics Auto Museum with over four acres of parking and many great photo opportunities. We are also bringing back a popular event from the past and will be ending the 2013 ISSCA Nationals with an awards dinner following the car show on Saturday.

Hotels: This year we have THREE host hotels to choose from with different price structures to fit every budget and the hotels are all next to one another for easy access. More hotel info will be coming soon. All the venue events, great eating spots, and other area attractions are all within minutes of each other and within a few miles of the hotels for a very convenient week with little to no travel. Also, if your significant other is not into the car scene, there are many things to see and do nearby for them to make the trip worthwhile. Families are encouraged as always.

As we frequently say – please remember that we do all of this for one simple reason. We are car guys who all share the same passions of the GM B-Body's. We all have a burning passion for our Impala SS’s, Caprices, Cadillac’s, and RoadMasters. We do this in our spare time and there is no paid staff and it is purely out of love for the cars and the wonderful community we’ve been a part of for over a decade. Your dues go directly to operating expenses of the club and we hope you come to Nationals to see your fellow enthusiasts and to participate in the only B-Body national event in existence.

Thank you for being a valued member of ISSCA and we genuinely hope you attend Nationals. If you’ve come before, you know what it’s all about. If you’ve never attended, it’s worth the trip! Even if it’s not feasible to drive to the event, we have many members who fly in just to be a part of the festivities and we strongly encourage it.

As ever, we also encourage you to get involved as a volunteer. If you have a few hours a month in the evenings to help us plan and if you have access to the internet then we want you on-board! Remember this is your club. We currently also have openings in a few area chapters so if you are interested in joining the BoD as a Director please let us know. If you have any questions or suggestions to make your club better or are interested in volunteering for the 2013 ISSCA Nationals please contact an ISSCA Officer or Director for more information.

Respectfully,
Your Officers and Directors,

Woo hoo, I'm in!

Who's coming?
Oh that guy! Yeah that's gonna be cool news!
But I will be there regardless of whether I'm in a B-body or not. I'm officially "IN".
YEAH TK! Good luck getting the car back together.

Anyone know off the top?
It's on the site www.issca.org but since I love you so much I'll help out.
ISSCA Membership - $10,000 annual but for you I slashed it to $30 annual if you register soon
ISSCA Nationals - $150,000 but for you I got you the BK discount of $225 all inclusive.

For that you get all this:
- an event t-shirt
- one admission to awards ceremony/BBQ ($10 each additional)
- one free photo taken by a professional photographer on the track at Charlotte Motor Speedway
- a parade lap (great photo op) at Charlotte Motor Speedway
- goody bag
- dash plaque
- participation in the car show
- participation in the David Fornwalt Memorial Sound-Off Competition
- participation in the auto-cross
- participation in the road racing
- seminars and Q and A's with prominent people in the 'industry'
- parking lot meetings each evening
- much much much more!

We will also be having a portable dyno there AND Bryan Herter from PCMFORLESS will be there to do dyno tunes (probably Wednesday before the competition and Saturday during the car show).

Oh yeah, almost forgot...
- 1 full week of BK's wit and wisdom

Well Robert DID say to guess so guess away!

BTW one thing I wanted to add is that the Drag Racing is a separate fee paid to the track direct for insurance reasons. I know Robert did state it above but here it is again:

* Please Note that the zMax Tech Card Fees, and zMax Spectator Fees are separate, these Fees are Collected by the zMax Dragway. It's $20.00 to race (Tech Card), a $5.00 spectators fee, and kids 13 and under are free.

Robert - You are rockin' the house with all of these great sponsorship agreements. Thank you for your hard work!!!
Robert is off the hook with the sponsors he has reeled in. We are actually starting to be concerned we have too much stuff to do in only a week!

You definitely don't want to miss it this year, it will be action packed with cool stuff to do and see all week!
Now THAT sounds like a great idea!
Dyno tune your car at ISSCA Nats with Bryan Herter PCMForLess!

Ok all you racers, whether it's drags, autocross, or road course, we know you want to be at your most powerful for Nats so we've arranged Bryan Herter from PCMForLess.com to be there tuning cars on the dyno all day Wednesday.

Bryan will be tuning all day WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7th AND JUST ADDED SATURDAY, AUGUST 10th. Sign up now to grab your slot.

Wednesday filled up right away, now we are booking Saturday during the car show.

We knew people would want a Wednesday dyno session since they would want to be tuned BEFORE competing in the performance events Thursday and Friday. During the all day car show and awards ceremony Saturday Bryan will also want to do dyno tuning and it will be a cool side show while seeing all the amazing cars in the show.

Bryan will also be available all week to do tuning in the parking lot, but not sure of the dyno availability. If we have enough demand we can roll out the dyno one night as well I'm sure. So don't stress if you can't get there Wednesday or Saturday, Bryan will try and take care of you.

$175 for DYNO TUNE (3 pulls) and $100 for a non-dyno tune during the week from Bryan at his/your convenience. You will also pay $60 for 3 pulls to the dyno operator for a total of $235. There may also be a $15 charge for wideband tuning. Sorry about the confusion on that, I originally forgot to add in the fee for the dyno guys.

Ok Wed 8/7 is full.

Blake this is your lucky day. Mike Fetcko stepped aside so you can take the 2pm slot on Wednesday 8/7.

Do you want me to talk to Bryan about trying to squeeze you in Wednesday night?

I did have one ahead of you when I checked my messages, PMs, IMs, texts, emails, etc. Let me know...but don't post it here, PM me lol.
What is the "ICCC" club event that is happening on Thursday?
It used to be the Impala Chartered Club Challenge and we still might make some sort of Go Karting contest based on club participation and how well your club members due but it will be open to anyone who wants to come race Go Karts that night...

I'm so pumped. Only a few weeks away!

Oh did I forget to mention that not only is THIS GUY COMING: http://www.impalassforum.com/vBullet...=1#post3042657

...but Hendrick Motorsports is sending over not 1, not 2, but probably 3 of Rick's insane cars. You saw the Hendrick big block Impala SS at Indy in 2006 so not only will they send that one over but they will send over the Jon Moss 510 "1993" Impala SS that started it all AND a hush-hush new PPV Caprice that can handle like a dream smooth as glass at 180mph+

So...who's getting all fired up??? I hope I'm not the only one!
Any chance that the Thursday Photo OP and Parade Lap(s) time can get nailed down ? Hate to have to hang around all day watching people bang up perfectly good cars on the road course :)
It will be early, in the 8am-10am time slot for sure.
5pm on Wed dyno slot MAY be open - PM me if interested...
You guys are gonna be on TV!

Don’t touch that ISSCA dial, set yourself for Cruise Control Xtreme!!!

One thing for sure, the track will be FaSSt!!! Ideal for a blower!! I am pumped!...The BeaSSt is coming out of retirement! I am driving the car up. No more trailer queen (the CTS-V can't tow the Impala :). Also running street rubber to make it a little more sporting for you guys who have experienced the wrath of the Procharger 6 speed BeaSSt. Looking forward to seeing you guys next week!
Glad to have you back Marky Mark!
Sorry to hear about Timmay and Blake not being able to go on the dyno.
However, their loss of opportunity can be someone elses gain.

If you want to be dyno tuned we have 2 prime spots open at 1pm and 2pm on Wednesday 8/7 at Sticky Fingers. Anyone want to move up from later in the day? Or move from Saturday to Wednesday and get tuned BEFORE the event?

Let me know...or let us know when you arrive at check-in and hopefully there will be some spots still open.
Ok sorry all...this is on me. I know it's posted elsewhere but I know a lot of people are subscribed to this thread so I'm also posting here.

I am trying to figure out how to upload all the spreadsheets that show every run but to hold you over...here are the 'official' ISSCA results of 2013 Nationals.
