OK Bill new engine is in and all the bugs worked out well most of them. LOL Still have to run it down the track locally to really see if there are other issues. But the Big test will be Island on the 21st. I can taste MOPAR!
She may not look pretty but she will run. Hell it is not that I have not run broken before. ;)
I will be traveling down on Wednesday and it is about 6 hours for me so put me down for the 4PM if still available.

Thanks for the reminder.

Just signed up and bringing Buddy along for the ride and racing. I know SSmitty and "big white" will also be there; early testing with the ARB has all 4 wheels on the ground and car running arrow straight. Four runs (1/8 MILE) in the high 5's with no drama at all. BRING ON BIG BOYS. If I can get him to post the video, it looks like he's out for a Sunday ride.

Here is a recap of the letter I just sent out to the ISSCA masses...

-----

First of all, the new ISSCA Scene is posted online and it looks great. Lots of pics, info and of course hard work went into this issue as always. Thank you ISSCA SScene editor Jim Gross!

Go check it out here: http://issca.org/newsletter/

On another note:
I hope everyone who is planning on coming to Nationals this year signs up soon. We don’t want to have to cancel the event for lack of participation. I know we all wait until the last minute to register, it’s almost an ISSCA tradition, but this year we went all out to make this even bigger and better than last year and committed to some big expenses. So hopefully all of you ‘been there, done that’ people will see this year will be a big upgrade over last year’s successful event and come back. And for those of you who missed out in 2013 we hope you plan to be there in 2014.

We are using the full ROVAL at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2014. For those of you who loved the parade laps, you will really love this much bigger and longer course as you get out on the high bank oval and go as fast as you feel comfortable going.

Also, we have secured Hendrick Motorsports for the car show, including a tour of the rarely seen by the public private collection of Mr. Hendrick. http://www.wcnc.com/charlotte-today/Rick-Hendricks-private-car-collection-194225671.html

Richie Parker will be back as a celebrity car show judge.

and will bring his 95 Impala SS as well.

Sticky Fingers will be back as a major sponsor and we will have a great banquet and awards ceremony like last year.

John Rafteseth and Mike “SSmitty” Smith will be there to see who will be the King of the Hill after last year’s showdown where SSmitty ran an 8.84 at 156 mph in an early round but Big John’s car won a wild and wooly final round showdown.

Bryan Herter from www.pcmforless.com will be there dyno tuning all day on Wed 7/30 and it’s a blast just watching all the cars on the dyno and seeing who can make the most power right there in Sticky Fingers parking lot!

Much more to talk about, but hopefully you get the idea. And the excitement!

Please sign up ASAP or, regretfully, we will either have to ask for personal sponsorships or more likely cancel the event: http://issca.org/issca-national-gathering/ .

We appreciate all of you who have already signed up but we need more of you to commit. If you can’t come this year, please help support the event with the t-shirt package. We need a big push by the end of June, 6/30. We can’t do this without you, the members. If you would like to help sponsor the event, please contact me directly. Last year’s event coordinator has been working 90 hour weeks and we haven’t been able to ask/beg the sponsors to donate as much as we would have liked. Either way, I have faith in our membership and we will do our best to once again exceed your expectations for a great event.

Looking forward to seeing everyone and another fantastic Nationals!

Thanks,

Bill
