I have been deciding for a long time if whether or not I wanted to renew my membership. I finally broke down and recently renewed my membership after being out of the scene for well over a year now. I have not received any type of confirmation of my renewal from anyone as of yet. When Harvey was handling everything I would get a confirmation the next day if not the same day. What is going on with the registration people???
I also registered for the ISSCA website right after I renewed my registration and my account has not been activated yet either. Without it being activated I can not do or read anything beside whats on the home page, which is nothing. Why was it even necessary to have a log in and password to got into the site. If you want members in my opinion it should be opened up to a limited degree so that the guest can see what it is they are joining. Why does it take so long for the memberships to be activated?
I have been sitting back in the dark since I let my membership expire reading but remaining silent about the problems with ISSCA, magazines, and BOD. I am wondering if these problems have been resolved? It seems to me that ISSCA has turned in to an organization that is seperated into cliques. I have even noticed this at one of the newly founded SSoAR meetings that I attended. If you are not part of the clique, you get no recognition not even a simple hello. I hope that this is not true, because it will cause the loss of a lot of good members.

SC,
I have no idea about confirmations. I've never received one in the past but if you paid by Paypal, that's your receipt. Heather in the office works about 3-5 hours a day, processing renewals, orders, registrations and she has her hands FULL! I talk to her at least once a week and she is always busy.

The ISSCA website and Renewals are TOTALLY SEPARATE! Renewals through the website does not give you automatic access to the website. It's done manually. The Paypal and renewals goes to the office and the website registration goes to the webmaster, Dave Wilson (dW). Once he receives your website registration, he checks it against his list for current members. It may take 24-48 hours.

The website is limited to ISSCA members because it's one of the BENEFITS to being a member. We are planning a "tour" section of the website for the new/prospective members but we all have full time jobs and family and we can only do so much. Please bear with us.

We don't have any 'cliques' within ISSCA. We all work together, have fun together and invite ANYONE to join us. THe problems of the past are just that, the PAST. We have a good group of diverse people on the BoD that is looking forward to making ISSCA better than ever.

Hang in there man. We do hear you and listen as well as all the ISSCA members. We have a separate forum in the website to voice your opinions, problems, solutions, etc... to make it easier to contact us. I know that in the past it seemed like there was a separation between the BoD and the members. We are bridging that gap and making it easier for ANYONE to contact us.

I will send an email with a link to Dave Wilson and hopefully resolve this..

Jamar;

Thanks for hanging in there and renewing your membership. We are planning to look back at 2006 as the year ISSCA turned it all around.

BTW, I love your car!

Thanks again,

I apologize for the delay in processing your registration. We process the website registrations manually unfortunately your renewal did not appear on the member list I was working from, but your membership renewal was credited with the club as soon as your dues were received.

all I can say is that we appreciate your patience and we are continuing to work to build value for the members.
