The older W6's hit harder then the new ones. At least that's the rumor on the street from the shop my buddy works at, which only deals with JL.

These are dual 6 ohm, which I think means they are usually ran in sets of 3, but I'm not up on my ohms.

If you decide to sell them, let me know!

JL's best woofers they EVER made. I know that much.
Can't go wrong with a JL mono amp.

Go to JLAudio.com the techs are good at responding..

each sub can be a 3 or 6 ohm load

3 subs can be wired to a 4 ohm load

I don't know the ohm specs with a pair wired together..

The 1st generation W6's will SLAM in a seal or ported box, done right.

Two of those subs with all coils wired in parallel will equal to a 1.5 ohm load. You can run them with any amp that does around 1000 watts rms at 1 ohm.

Or if you have a 2 channel amp that makes a bunch of power at 4 ohm mono, you can run them series parallel and get 6 ohms. The power won't be as much as 4ohm but you will have nice dynamic sound. If you are going for output, do the monoblock.
