Just purchased this car last week. First Caprice I have ever driven or owned, and I love it.
It has 178k miles runs real nice and your questions suggestions or comments are appreciated.

Any advice as to good mods to start with ? Also, I'm in Miami Fl, anyone know someone who works well on these cars at a good price ???

I was a bit reluctant to buy it at first because it had 178k miles, but once I drove it, I was totally impressed by the power and how nice it glided down the road .... so I bought it

The car runs so nice, I hope it runs at least a couple of years before any Major work .....

I did an oil change, new AC Delco platinum plugs, and I am having the AC checked at this time because its blowing hot air. I would have changed the air filter, but I am going to buy a cold air intake kit on ebay for it. They have some generic cold airs for like $65, anyone have experience with them ??

Im glad you guys like it. I had a lot of fun looking through this site at all the super nice cars you all have, and now after three months of looking for one,I am so glad I picked up one of these cars ....

My plans with it at the moment are to do some simple mods, because its running real nice already. So I am going to put a cold air in it next .. I plan to keep the exterior mostly as it is, will probably put 5 or 6 coats of wax on it in the next 6 weeks .. I am looking for a nice set of SS 96 wheels, so I will throw those on there, when I find them at a decent price and get some nice tires .... and head to the track to see what its running the 1/4 mile in .....

Anyone in South Florida know a good mechanic down here ??
