Dear ISSCA Members;

I just wanted to drop you all a note to let you know we are ‘ALL SYSTEMS GO FOR LAUNCH’ for the 2015 ISSCA Nationals in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This year’s Nationals will be kicking off Tuesday, July 28th and will continue through Saturday, August 1st. The ISSCA Board of Directors has been working hard to provide everyone with another great event and we can’t wait to see everyone there!

To give you an idea of the great events we have planned for you:

Tuesday, July 28th – REGISTRATION/CHECK IN

Wednesday, July 29th – AUTO-X in the morning and DRAG RACING at night

Thursday, July 30th – ROAD RACING all day and a Dick Miller Suspension Seminar at night

Friday, July 31st – Open Day. Optional Corvette Museum Tours and/or Corvette Assembly Plant Tours, plus we have secured 150 tickets to see the Bowling Green Hot Rods minor league baseball game at night

Saturday, August 1st – ISSCA Car Show, Sound Off, and Awards Banquet
As you can see it’s almost a full week of action. ISSCA Public Relations Officer Bob “Bobo” Fandetti claims you will be having so much fun it will probably take a trained medical professional days to wipe the smile off your face. Also, it’s not too late to register. We are keeping registration open through midnight, Wednesday, July 15th for those of you who would like to come at the last minute. We can’t guarantee an event shirt after that date, so please get registered ASAP. Link is below.

For all of you who would like to attend but cannot make it, we have our very popular supporter package. You will get an event goody bag and an event t-shirt with some great artwork on it mailed to you after the event. This supporter package is a great bargain at $49 including shipping and is a great way to be a part of the event (and also help support ISSCA) from wherever you are that week. Go to www.issca.org or more directly go to www.issca.org/issca-national-gathering/ for the registration page.

For those of you not registered yet but are still on the fence, this is an amazing week that you don’t want to miss. We will be road racing and autocrossing at the brand new Corvette Motorsports Park and drag racing at the legendary Beech Bend Dragway. CMS has been getting rave reviews, and we are lucky that ISSCA VP Don Lambert locked us in early because it’s booked solid for the next 2 years. It has long straightaways to let our big cars stretch their legs and plenty of turns to test your cornering skills. The best part is, you race at your own pace so all are welcome and encouraged to participate. Only one car will be on the track at a time so you can go as fast or as leisurely as you like. Additionally, back by popular demand, are the parade laps with a professional photographer shooting your car with amazing backdrops out on the track.

For you drag racing nuts, there will be 3 classes as always. BIG DOG, where it's RUN WHATCHA BRUNG in a heads up, Pro Tree Race. There is also the SUPER NATURAL CLASS, where it's also heads up, Pro Tree, for any NATURALLY ASPIRATED B/D Body. And of course the SUPER SPORT CLASS aka Bracket Racing, where everyone is eligible to try their best at Bracket Racing on a Sportsman Tree. In Brackets it doesn't matter whether your car runs 9's or 15's or even just runs, period. Everyone has an EQUAL CHANCE to win!

One final note, because we realize that not everyone can get the whole week off from work. We purposely schedule the car show/sound off/awards banquet on Saturday since it’s the most heavily participated event at each Nationals. ISSCA fans that can’t make it during the week often come JUST for Saturday’s festivities and to see all the cars in one spot. The Super Sport package gets you in to the event and the car show and parade laps and a ticket to the banquet and access to all events for only $75. So come one and come all, it’s going to be another spectacular event and remember, ISSCA can’t do it without you. ISSCA is for the members, by the members!

Hope to see you July 28th or any other time during the week!

Peace, love, and horsepower,

Bill
