So I just got my speakers in today and was installing them then I notice it wasn’t my left speaker that went out it was my volume knob in my head unit, my left speaker would cut in and out so I’m guessing there’s some kind of fault in my head unit. I bought a OEM Bluetooth head unit about a year ago and installed it and haven’t had any problems, but for the last couple of months it’s been going in and out only in my left speaker, so I’m looking for a double din around $200 I have kicker SCC 6fives 6.5 in the front and 6.9‘s in the back, so I was wondering if you can give me some recommendations for a double den in the front thank you

If it is a door speaker it is common for the wire to break between the car and the door. Driver's door usually Cranking the volume or moving the wire bundle between the door and the car will get the speaker working and then it will quit again. A volume or balance control problem usually will cut out only at one position and will work above or below that one point.

You want to eliminate a bad connection or broken wire before changing the head. A shorted wire could blow out the new unit before the fuse.

so this bad connection should be between the door

So I found the short it’s in the door panel right after it comes out the chase so would the best thing to do is replace the whole wire or splice some new wire to the speaker
